The property has Twin Creek, a free stone headwater running through the center of the property into the South Platte River. At 8,000 feet elevation, the cabin has direct access to Pike National Forest right out the front door and within walking distance of world class gold medal waters.
This ideal location in South Park, Colorado allows you to fish Eleven Mile Canyon in the morning and the World Class “Dream Stream” in the afternoon and be back for a shower and dinner within minutes. In the fall, you can take lunch and hike from the cabin to the South Platte River to see large Brown Trout returning to spawn.

Although we're located within a mile of Highway 24, four-wheel drive vehicles are recommended particularly during the months of October through April.
If your interest is hiking or ATVs, you can walk directly out the front door into 1 million acres of Pike National Forrest. Alternatively, for a shorter hike you can access the properties acreage of Twin Creek. There you will see and enjoy the numerous beaver ponds situated on the property. Twin Creek, which flows through the Fallen Tree Lodge property, is recognized as a premier fly fishing destination in South Park. Local fly fishing authority Michele White — owner of Tumbling Trout Fly Shop in Lake George and author of "Lesser Known Fly Fishing Venues in South Park" — specifically features Twin Creek as one of the top Lake George Area fishing venues on the South Platte River. Guests of Fallen Tree Lodge enjoy direct access to this exceptional water right on the property.
